Seattle bride shoot

The first day we were in Seattle we were told to spend two hours photographing inflatable pigs with polaroids (really fun - Jesh & I were on a team and totally won - not that I was excited or anything ;-). After that experience we were really ready to get our hands back on our 'real' cameras though. The next day our assignment was to get 24 specific shots (shooting up, wide angle, something risky, something emotional, etc.) of our model - a bride - with our assigned teams. I was on a team with Shyla & Jennifer and our model, Amber, totally rocked! Check out some of my favorite shots.

Good times in garages

Ok, slowly I'm working my way through the Seattle pics....just a few more left :-) Here's bigger versions of the ones seen in Shyla's video yesterday. Who knew empty parking garages could be so fun???

P.S. I'm sick today (thanks Heather, Mike and the barage of sick people who have been breathing on me :-) so if you called or emailed...I've been trying to sleep it off....uggh.

Heather's such a hottie.

As is Dustin :-)

And don't even get me started on Shy.

Ok, first up in the 'Parking Garage Experimental Series' is Levitating Man...aka Jesh with a flash.

Fred being Spiderman.

Jason & Jesh, the Canadian wonders :-)

Jesh took over my camera for this shot. Notice the person front left - that's me :-)

And Shyla & Dustin in the Karate Kid Matrix (thanks for the title Michele :-).

After the garage sessions, Jason, Dustin & I took it to the streets for a few.

Thanks for this one Jason!

More Seattle fun

Yeah, you're probably all already sick of hearing about Seattle, but too bad - my blog :-P I stole this video from Shyla - how cool is this? This is from a really fun trip a bunch of us took to a parking garage...sound exciting? Oh, it was :-) Check me out shooting these!

This next work of art is from Fred's blog - how cool is this?? I so already miss everyone!!! (Click it to enlarge)

Happy Birthday Sam!!

Just wanted to give a quick Happy Birthday announcement to my darling hubby, Sam! He's 25 today and is absolutely fabulous! Love ya!! :-)

Back from Seattle!

Hey everyone - sorry to be so absent lately! I just got back from attending the Anti-Workshop in Seattle last night and had SUCH a good time!! The Coopers and the Boutwells were soooooooo inspiring and genuine, not to mention the host of other fabulous photographers in attendance. I really had a great time and met some awesome new friends! Here's just a handful of some of my new pals and I. Next post will contain some of the sweet "real" pics we took out there.

Me, Dalisa, Chenin & Heather (and yes, Heather is actually licking Chenin's face in the last one...she's so weird).

Dalisa's husband, the infamous and ridiculously talented John Michael Cooper. This is the guy credited with starting the dress trashing trend, but he's so completely humble and down to earth! What an inspiration...

Jason and I. Jason's from Canada and has some great shots - one of which you'll see on the next post...of me!

Another ridiculously talented person who's incredibly grounded (usually ;-). Jesh de Rox and I. This guy has been winning award after award lately and totally deserves it.

JMC and I.

Jasmine Star & I - she's too sweet for words!

Jesh, Dustin (one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet, and waaaaay talented - also from KC), Heather, and me.

The one and only Doug Boutwell and me.

Fred Egan, amazing Dallas photog and I.

Jamie, Kate & I - how much fun are these girls? And they're Nikon girls too!

I absolutely loved Lisa - she's such a doll!!

Me and Dustin lookin' hot! ;-)

Waiting for the always late (and always crazy) shuttle back to the hotel - Fred, Jesh, and Mark.

Me and Heather being our usual selves.

Gorgeous and fabulous Shyla

Good times in the airport...

Heather & I are sitting in KCI right now waiting to fly out to Seattle for the super-cool Anti-Workshop. Shockingly, we're turning heads. Look how much fun two photographers and a MacBook can have on an airport floor.

Flip Flops+Photographs

Hey guys - there's still some slots available for the photo day this Saturday (see the post below). Shoot me an email (kelleyphotodesign@yahoo.com) or call me (816.878.5450) to set up a time.

And I swear I'm going to be posting more soon - just been a little crazy lately. I'm leaving for a sweet photography workshop Monday with the awesome Boutwells and John Michael Cooper (if you're a photographer, you know these guys - JMC is known as the 'godfather' of dress trashing :-). Once I get caught up a bit, I swear to post some of the fantastic shoots I've been doing lately - including another dress trashing and some hoooooot Coquettes!

Ashley+Robbie got trashed...

Without further ado, I present the first ever dress-trashing by KPD. Don't even act like you don't want to do it now ;-)

P.S. Shout out to Ashley & Robbie for being so cool about this whole thing - you guys rock! And doesn't Ashley look like some sort of hot jungle goddess or something??

EDIT: I completely forgot to thank Kelly from Monarch Florist for the fabulous bouquet pictured below - ladies she does fantastic work - definitely check her out :-)
