It was pointed out to me last night by Mr. Van Horn that I don't do a good job of following up on my teaser posts...sorry about that :-) I was intending to display this shoot ages ago as a slideshow with cool music, but I decided to just go on and post it!! Kelly came down from Chicago to model (recognize her in the header too??) for my bank-robber-on-the-run shoot. And obviously, she rocked it out :-)

Look at these in order - there's more than what show up too, just click the far right button by the thumbnails to continue. And leave me a comment! ;-)

This is how to end a shoot.

After shooting Monday night for our Popcorn Girl concept shoot (I'll share more soon!), we (Ashley [our superhuman studio manager], Seth & Trey [my fabulous cinematographer friends], Taylor [our fantastic model], and I) decided we weren't done shooting. So, naturally, we found a swimming pool at a local motel and shot each other jumping in! :-)

Seth can fly, I don't know if you knew.

So can Taylor.

Ashley & I...notsomuch. And yeah, I'm a big nerd that has to plug my nose :-)

Pardon the lack of in-focus-ness here!

A teaser from a fun shoot...

More coming soon :-)

Kelly | Nighttime fun

The lovely Kelly came down from Chicago to visit and shoot a few weeks ago and we did some serrrrriousssssslyyy cool stuff. These shots were from the night before our "real" shoot, at about midnight...but I happen to really like them!

Round 2: Africa

More on Facebook!

While visiting Cape Town we went on a tour of Robben Island, the prison where many political prisoner such as Nelson Mandela and Robert Sobukwe were held. It was one of my favorite parts of the trip and was so educational. It was really fascinating.

In addition to political prisoners, at one time Lepers were quarantined here.

Once back on the mainland we came across some really talented musicians.

We also got to go on a mini-safari and see some awesome animals :-)

....including the rare and exotic Schaeffer girls ;-)

Our safari group! Charlie didn't get to come on this one...darn work!

Did you know the hippo is the most dangerous animal in Africa??

One of Grant my last night in town, with his spiffy new pashmina ;-)

Kaitlin & I were supposed to paraglide off this mountain, but sadly the weather didn't cooperate with us.

Some Africa Pictures...Finally!!

Well I'm finally getting around to sharing a few of my photos from my fabulous recent trip to Cape Town, South Africa! Quick recap: some of my favorite clients (not that I play favoritism ;-) moved to Cape Town recently. Kaitlin & Charlie graciously offered to let me come visit, and Kait's wonderful sis & brother in law Megan & Grant (whose wedding I also shot) came to visit at the same time. Needless to say, a fantastic time was had by all and I'm so thrilled to have had the opportunity to visit!

Without further ado, here are the first batch of photos. More coming tomorrow, and lots more will be up on Facebook then too.

This beautiful lady made the most gorgeous crocheted clothes (I may have bought a few items form her ;-)

Day 1 with Kaitlin!

The water may look beautiful, but it was COLD!!

The Gang :-) Kaitlin, Charlie, Megan & Grant.

How cute are these penguins??

I love entertaining the idea that this ostrich is also a tourist, just checkin out the view :-)

On top of Table Mountain

And a couple shots of my camera-shy couples ;-)
