Round 2: Africa

More on Facebook!

While visiting Cape Town we went on a tour of Robben Island, the prison where many political prisoner such as Nelson Mandela and Robert Sobukwe were held. It was one of my favorite parts of the trip and was so educational. It was really fascinating.

In addition to political prisoners, at one time Lepers were quarantined here.

Once back on the mainland we came across some really talented musicians.

We also got to go on a mini-safari and see some awesome animals :-)

....including the rare and exotic Schaeffer girls ;-)

Our safari group! Charlie didn't get to come on this one...darn work!

Did you know the hippo is the most dangerous animal in Africa??

One of Grant my last night in town, with his spiffy new pashmina ;-)

Kaitlin & I were supposed to paraglide off this mountain, but sadly the weather didn't cooperate with us.
