Daniel, Nick, Adam & Brooke

Last week I got the chance to hang out with four really cool kids - Daniel, Nick, Adam & Brooke. We had tons of fun playing in the park and let me tell ya, they wore me out!! :-) We got lots of fun pics, though, and here are a few of my favorites!

This last one is just for laughs...we tried to take just one slightly more traditional shot of the four of them sitting, and as you can see...it wasn't happening!

Heather & Rob - September 1

Whew, what a week it's been! I'm really excited to share this slideshow from Heather & Rob's wedding (remember their engagement pictures from this summer? They were the ones with the motorcycle and pets :-)!! They are really some of the most fun and laidback people I've ever met, and their wedding was nothing short of awesome! I hope you enjoy their slideshow as much as I've enjoyed working with them!

Update on Sarah

First of all, thank you so much to everyone who has commented here and e-mailed regarding Sarah. It's wonderful that everyone cares so much! I thought I'd give an update on her status. Last I heard, she's still in a coma, but things are looking up a bit. The doctors think her liver may not be ruptured now, and there's definite brain activity.

Everyone keep praying for her - they say the first 48 hours are the hardest, and seeing she's made it through that, I'd say there's some real hope!

On another note, I've got more wedding photos coming soon! I'm crazy busy right now, so (as usual :-), if I'm a little slow responding to emails or calls (especially calls), I apologize! Check back soon for some great photos!

Prayers Needed...

I normally use this blog to talk about all the fun stuff going on, but I really would appreciate the prayers and thoughts of all my readers today. Sarah Smith, a teenage girl that I've shown horses with for years, was thrown from her horse yesterday morning as she was preparing to show at the State Fair. We are not sure what happened, but the end result is Sarah is in KC Med Center. She has severe head trauma and a split liver. The doctors at this point can't say if she will make it or not. She was unresponsive from the minute Shannon realized she came off the horse. The only response they get from Sarah is negative; when her Mom speaks to her, her brain starts to bleed.

In addition to all this, Sarah's mom was diagnosed with breast cancer this summer, and was scheduled to have a masectomy at the end of this month.

Obviously, the family needs as much prayer as possible, and I'm sure they would appreciate your thoughts. I'll keep everyone posted on the situation.

Our new "child...."

So I got a phone call today from my mother in law, saying that a friend had just found a German Shepherd puppy in his neighborhood that had been running around for the last week. He appeared to be dumped there. The friend wanted to know if my ma-in-law knew anyone who would want to give him home, so she thought of us (my husband loves Shepherds and has been dying to get one since we moved).

Well, it turns out that the dog is a complete sweetheart, and absolutely gorgeous! See for yourself! Anyway, this is Jackson; Kodie's new "little" brother, along with some new shots of Kodie:

How could anyone dump this guy?
He's really lazy...
...Except when he and Kodie play tug-o-war!
"Big" sis:

Fun day!

I just had to post about the awesome lunch I had today with my friends Heather & Bruce, two of the best photographers in the KC area! The three of us have some big plans for the future, including a really cool event that we should be unveiling soon, hopefully...aren't you dying to know what it is? :-)

Anyway, we're all three really silly, and decided that the three of us could collectively be called Brucoelley, so I give you the new and fantastic Brucoelley :-)

Bonnie & Justin - August 26

Ok, so I'm sure everyone's bummed after that Chiefs game, but cheer up - here's some more wedding photos :-) I just finished a slideshow of Bonnie & Justin's wedding which took place at the beautiful Redemptorist church downtown, then Drexel Hall for the reception. Congrats guys!

Dani & Jesse - August 19

Hey everyone! As usual, things have been crazy around here, but I've been doing a ton of amazing weddings! Here's a slideshow of Dani & Jesse's wedding on the 19th. Can I say how much I love her shoes?? :-)
